Description
Summary:In this article we review the current status of the investigated problem in both Russian and international science and practice. We specify the attributes of the scope covered by the basic concept of “communicative competency” as well as its components and types; we provide theoretical justification for pedagogical conditions promoting the effective development of communicative competency among prospective engineers during their chemistry studies. According to the stated objective, the hypothesis was based on the assumption that the development of communicative competency among prospective engineers during their chemistry education will be effective when the following pedagogical conditions are met: setting up scenarios of success for university students in the process of studying chemistry, engaging students in interactive dialogs during the performance of team tasks (with subsequent explanation of educational materials to each other, mutual assessment and its justification) and using elements of problem-based learning.
