Description
Summary:Change the shape and size of materials supports new functionalities never found in the sources. This strategy has been recently applied for porous crystalline materials - metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) to create hollow nanoscale structures or mesostructures with improved functional properties. However, such structures are characterized by amorphous state or polycrystallinity which limits their applicability. Here we follow this strategy to create such nano- and mesostructures with perfect crystallinity and new photonics functionalities by laser or focused ion beam fabrication.
