The impact of adolescent social isolation on dopamine D2 and cannabinoid CB1 receptors in the adult rat prefrontal cortex

Highlights ► Isolation-reared adult rats show a reduction in PFC dendritic dopamine D2 receptors. ► Cannabinoid CB1 receptor signaling may locally mitigate this D2 receptor decrease. ► A sensory motor gating deficit is also evident in isolation-reared adult rats.
