Summary: | First Mohay 2 and McCulley 3 used eyes of the animal models and obtained successful results. Reviewing our experience during the past 6 years in performing penetrating keratoplasty (PK) for Fuchs's dystrophy, and obviously understanding that this is not a comparative study, we realised that our mean improvement in best corrected visual acuity was 3.1 lines (range 0-8), with a mean postoperative time for visual rehabilitation of 8 months (range 3-18 months). |
