Summary:If this were the case, with decreased production serving to retard the normal development of absorptive capacity, then the increase in the pressure in the choroid plexus capillaries brought about by both the closure of the fistulae and the subsequent venous thrombosis may have resulted in a rate of CSF production greater than could be handled by the absorptive system. Since these experiments little, if any, work has been done in the area of the relation between CSF formation and venous occlusion.
