Since the start of the year, the all-Europe price has risen from 116p/kg to 152p/kg, but the GB SPP has risen by just 12p to 152p/kg this week. According to AHDB Pork, the EU exported 218,000t of pork in May, a 31% increase in volume on the same month a year ago, as China replaced home-bred pigs culled due to African swine fever.
