Summary:To adequately evaluate training, it must be understood that: 1) "Training is not education," 2) "Training activities must be identical to job activities," 3) Organizations are economic entities, and 4) Training cannot produce ROI (return on investment). Trainers must gain organizational knowledge. Although the outcome of training is "changed behavior" which must be reflected on the job, the change must be maintained by the line manager.
