While NCUA's CAMEL ratings aren't supposed to be shared with members, Bauer Financial says members can review its "Star" ratings for every credit union, in addition to links to the websites of credit unions, banks, regulators and trade associations. But a solid Star rating may not be enough for a credit union. The company is also publishing online at bauerfinancial.com the best consumer CD rates in 10 categories, and jumbo CD rates in seven categories.
