Description
Summary:The Internet has become the new tool for health care providers and managed care organizations, providing inexpensive support to customers and wide exposure to potential prospects. The use of Internet for marketing purpose has grown steadily from 20% in 1995 to 32% of hospitals in 1998 having used the Internet to some degree. Large organizations can offer advanced technology such as search providers, live chat forums, newsletters, and even electronic catalogs for medical suppliers. The Internet is also a good place to develop a marketing database. When a customer or prospect visits a Web site, any information entered into the site can be retained and integrated into the collective. And it is easy to get competitor information from their Web sites.
