Pitting corrosion of the high-entropy alloy Co1.5CrFeNi1.5Ti0.5Mo0.1 in chloride-containing sulphate solutions
The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of SO 4 2 - ions on the pitting potential (E pit) and critical pitting temperature (CPT) of high-entropy alloy Co1.5CrFeNi1.5Ti0.5Mo0.1 in chloride solutions. The results indicate that the values of CPT for the alloy in 0.1, 0.5, and 1mol/L NaCl...

Summary: | The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of SO 4 2 - ions on the pitting potential (E pit) and critical pitting temperature (CPT) of high-entropy alloy Co1.5CrFeNi1.5Ti0.5Mo0.1 in chloride solutions. The results indicate that the values of CPT for the alloy in 0.1, 0.5, and 1mol/L NaCl are 70, 60 and 60AC, respectively; the values of E pit are linear with the logarithm of chloride concentrations at 70 and 80AC; and the addition of SO 4 2 - ions to chloride solutions has a positive effect on both E pit and CPT as the ratio of SO 4 2 - /Cla is higher than 0.5. |
