Renal artery stenosis masquerading as congestive heart failure

The cases of two patients with symptoms of congestive heart failure in whom renal artery stenosis was the underlying cause are discussed. Renal artery stenosis is a rare cause of acute recurrent pulmonary oedema in patients with hypertension.
