Summary: | Significant mitral regurgitation (MR) often coexists with aortic stenosis in patients who are candidates for aortic valve replacement. Contrary to previous reports, we found that at least half of the patients do not have a reduction in MR after aortic valve replacement, which suggests considering double-valve surgery in patients with moderate to severe MR undergoing aortic valve replacement for significant aortic stenosis. |
