The Change in the Dumping Syndrome Concept

The development of GLP-1 inhibitors (e.g., the enzyme dipeptyl-peptidase-IV) to degrade GLP-1 and lower absorbed glucose may have use in the treatment of dangerous post-gastric bypass hypoglycemia. An understanding of the changing concepts of dumping syndrome is necessary for its treatment.
