Because of the potential of a cure, early diagnosis may improve prognosis. In addition to these drugs for the treatment of chronic perianal Crohn's fistulae, a mouse-human chimeric monoclonal antibody to tumor necrosis factor-α, infliximab, has been added to the armamentarium.
