Summary:In this paper, the authors attempt to attribute the microstructure of porous ceramic skeleton and increase investigations of the ceramic/metal interface where products of a reaction between the liquid metal and the ceramics can appear. Preliminary results of studies of Si3N4/Mg composites obtained via infiltration of a porous Si3N4 ceramic skeleton are reported.
