Summary:Tetrapod-like nano-particle ZnO/acrylic resin composite was prepared by a direct dispersing method forming a multi-function coating. The composite with uniform distribution of nano-ZnO in the acrylic resin have both anti-electrostatic and antibacterial functions. The coatings can be used for plastic materials or others. The mechanisms of the electrostatic and antibacterial functions were also analyzed.
