Radiation effects of 200 MeV proton beams on Nd–Fe–B magnets

Effects of 200 MeV proton irradiation on the re-magnetized Nd–Fe–B magnet (Shin-Etsu Chemical N48) were investigated. The dose dependence of the magnetic flux loss for the re-magnetized sample agreed well with that for the unirradiated one within the experimental accuracy. The N48 magnet, demagnetiz...

Description
Summary:Effects of 200 MeV proton irradiation on the re-magnetized Nd–Fe–B magnet (Shin-Etsu Chemical N48) were investigated. The dose dependence of the magnetic flux loss for the re-magnetized sample agreed well with that for the unirradiated one within the experimental accuracy. The N48 magnet, demagnetized by the radiation, had perfectly its magnetic properties of its unirradiated level by means of the re-magnetization.
