Summary:Purpose This study aimed to observe the effect of individualized nursing based on a comprehensive geriatric assessment (CGA) on improving the quality of life of elderly osteoporosis patients. Methods Ninety-two elderly osteoporosis patients were divided into two groups using the random number table method, with 46 patients in each group. The control group received routine nursing, while the observation group was the recipients of personalized care intervention based on a CGA. The abbreviated generic Quality of Life Scale developed through the World Health Organization and an inpatient nursing satisfaction scale were used to evaluate the quality of life and patient satisfaction scores of the two groups before and 6 months after the nursing intervention. Results There were no significant differences in the WHOQOL-BREF scores between the two groups before intervention ( p  > 0.05).
