Summary: | The method of obtaining described parameters is explained and includes simplification of the general model of the equivalent circuit used. Explanations are given at each important step and numerical treatment is also described and examples are shown graphically. Descriptions are given of practical applications. These include steel sheets, immersed in salt water, coated with paints and using a polarisation cell. The equipment used is detailed and various stages used are related. The results are examined critically. The conclusions reached are that the model used is reasonably reliable, but that further work is really needed to reach accuracy levels that are sufficiently high. |
