Self-pulsing and chaotic dynamics in an optical three-mode system
A ring cavity with dispersive second order interaction is driven by several external waves. Its deterministic dynamics is described by a six-dimensional system of differential equations. The solutions show bistability, periodic and chaotic motion. Transient chaos can be found too.
