Further simultaneous hard X-ray and optical observations of Sco X-1

A positive correlation between the optical luminosity and the intensity of hard X rays at the optically enhanced phase of Sco X-1 was noticed in observations made during 1971. During a balloon flight on Apr. 16, 1972, an X-ray enhancement was observed simultaneously with an optical flare. Hard X-ray...

Description
Summary:A positive correlation between the optical luminosity and the intensity of hard X rays at the optically enhanced phase of Sco X-1 was noticed in observations made during 1971. During a balloon flight on Apr. 16, 1972, an X-ray enhancement was observed simultaneously with an optical flare. Hard X-ray spectra at several different B magnitudes as a basis for the study of the correlation between X-ray and optical emissions were obtained in another balloon flight on Apr. 19, 1972.
