Summary:The purpose of this pilot study was to design, implement, and evaluate the family-focused psychoeducational therapy (FFPT) for autism spectrum disorder (ASD) family. In Phase I, 64 parents of ASD children (ASD-group) and 63 parents of typically development children (TD-group) were invited to investigate parenting self-efficacy and emotion at baseline. In Phase II, the 4-week of FFPT was offered for the ASD-group. Date was collected at baseline, post-intervention and one-month follow-up, using the parental self-efficacy, Self-Rating Anxiety Scale and Self-Rating Depression Scale.
