Summary:The study published by Thuluvath and colleagues in this month's issue of the Journal of Hepatology is the first large-scale national multicenter investigation specifically addressed to evaluate the role and outcomes of LT in patients with ACLF, including those with MOE, and to clarify whether the type of organ failure has an impact on survival. This retrospective study included all adult patients in the US listed for LT within the United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS) from 2002 to 2016.
