Summary:The first find of buried low-temperature hydrothermal deposits in the Mid-Atlantic Ridge rift valley is reported. The region represents a discharge zone for low- and medium-temperature hydrothermal systems. It is unlikely that ore occurrences of the black smoker type or buried hydrothermalsedimentary sulde ores, which high-cupriferous FMD are closely related to, will be discovered.
