Waning protection following 5 doses of a 3-component diphtheria, tetanus, and acellular pertussis vaccine

Highlights • Risk of pertussis increased on average 27% per year after 5th dose of GSK DTaP3. • Regardless of manufacturer, pertussis risk increased 30% per year after 5th DTaP. • Protection wanes substantially as children are more remote from the 5th DTaP3 dose.
