Electronic States of Lanthanum Monoiodide: Preliminary Data from High-Resolution LIF Spectroscopy

Preliminary rovibrational data are obtained for the four low-lying states (I–IV). The first two can be ascribed as X1Σ and a3Δ: III does have Ω = 1, and IV is possibly1Δ. The 11 laser-excited levels are tentatively grouped into three entities.
