Colorimetric method for a rapid detection of oxygenated aromatic biotransformation products
The quantitative production of the oxygenated products from the biotransformation of aromatic substrates can be detected using a very simple and rapid colorimetric test. The method is based on Gibbs' reagent (2,6-dichloroquinone-4-chloroimide) and has been developed for routine spectrophotometr...

Summary: | The quantitative production of the oxygenated products from the biotransformation of aromatic substrates can be detected using a very simple and rapid colorimetric test. The method is based on Gibbs' reagent (2,6-dichloroquinone-4-chloroimide) and has been developed for routine spectrophotometric or microtitre plate assay allowing the detection of products with a sensitivity as low as 5 mu M. |
