Summary:Scott County Health Department's goal in its Food Service Inspection Program is to reduce the risk to public health through inspections and enforcement of the Food Service Sanitation Code. The department has found that increasing the frequency of inspections for marginally compliant establishments is effective in increasing compliance. To approach the problem in a uniform, consistent manner, the department developed a standardized, progressive procedure, utilizing existing resources, which concentrates efforts on the establishments which present the greatest risk.
