Summary: | This paper presents a parameter identification method and describes its practical application to the estimation of groundwater flow transmissivity. The Newton-Raphson method is used. In determining the parameters, an important consideration is the way the unknown variables are selected. Methods making use of the same well for measuring and suction are particularly effective as regards computation. The distribution of measuring wells is investigated using actual data. |
