Analysis of Geometric Parameters of the Conical Part of the Mold in the Continuous Casting of Thin Slabs

Studies are made of geometric relations which show how the amplitude, width, and length of the conical part of continuous-caster molds can be changed so as to ensure that the gap between the mold’s narrow wall and the skin of the slab being cast is linear.
