Summary:The PYCASSO (PYrocarbon irradiation for Creep And Swelling/Shrinkage of Objects) irradiations were a part of RAPHAEL (ReActor for Process Heat And Electricity), a 4-year Integrated Project on Very High Temperature Reactors, within the European 6th Framework Program. The work is continued in the 7th Framework Program ARCHER (Advanced High-Temperature Reactor for Co-generation of Heat and Electricity R&D) in which the Post Irradiation Examinations (PIE) will be performed.
