Summary: | The environmental impact of a uranium mine and several other sources of technologically enhanced natural ratioactivity such as coal fired power plants, coal mines, production of phosphoric acid, phosphate fertilisers and titanium dioxide contributing to the radioactive pollution in Slovenia has been studied. The main contribution to the individual dose is caused by inhalation of radon and its daughters in the vicinity of the uranium mine. Other sources contribute mainly to the radioactive pollution of the river Sava and its underground water. |
