Summary: | The host range of Trirhabda flavolimbata was determined using both adults and larvae in feeding tests. Although Baccharis spp. were the preferred hosts, significant feeding occurred on other plants belonging to the Tribe Astereae. It was concluded that although this insect was stenophagous, its host range was too wide for T. flavolimbata to be approved as a biocontrol agent against B. halimifolia in Australia or B. neglecta in Texas. |
