Summary: | Video capsule endoscopy (VCE) has become a valuable tool for the use of noninvasive small intestine endoscopic exploration and is used to evaluate and diagnose small bowel gastrointestinal bleeding of unknown etiology. Resolution of VCE aspiration has been reported to occur with coughing alone; however, retrieval using either rigid or flexible bronchoscopy is also frequently necessary.1 Bronchoscopy remains the standard method for extraction of tracheobronchial foreign body aspirates in adults. |
