Summary: | Experimental results on studying disclination-type defects in substrates as possible sites of formation of metallic pentagonal whiskers during electrodeposition are presented. The choice of substrates for the growth of such crystals is grounded, and spiral-disclination models for the formation of pentagonal pyramids on disclination-type defects having various natures are described. The revealed laws and specific features of pentagonal whisker formation can be used in practice to grow specific nanoobjects and microarticles from them. |
