Description
Summary:Tilorone, an anti-tumor agent presently under investigation, appeared to be associated with corneal opacities. Attempts to measure levels of this drug in tissues from the eye required techniques of hiqh sensitivity. Applications of ultraviolet spectrophotometry, thin-layer chromatography (TLC), high-pressure liquid chromatography (HPLC), gas-liquid chromatography (GLC), and gas chromatography/mess spectrometry (GC/MS) to this drug are described. Tilorone was ultimately determined by GC/MS using selected ion monitoring (SIM).
