Summary: | This paper studies basic interleaved buck converters using a switching rule based on a winner-take-all principle. As the parameters are selected suitably, the system can realize multiphase synchronization automatically which is convenient for the ripple reduction of the output current. As the parameters vary, the system exhibits a variety of synchronous phenomena. Using the piecewise-constant model, we give the parameter condition theoretically for existence and stability of the synchronous phenomena. The simple test circuit is presented and typical synchronous phenomena are confirmed experimentally. |
