Description
Summary:Analysis of the measurement results by scintillation detectors of the time dependence of the output of DD neutrons in a plasma-focus discharge indicates the generation of a narrowly directed neutron beam in the discharge. The quantitative characteristics of a narrowly directed neutron beam are estimated—the output of neutrons in the beam, the duration of generation, and the angular divergence of the beam. To estimate the beam parameters, the Monte Carlo simulation of the features of the time dependence of the signal of the scintillation detector in the conditions of a closed space in which the measurements were carried out was carried out.
