Description
Summary:The new natural compound salicyl alcohol 7- O - β -D-(6′- O -benzoyl)glucopyranoside, which we called isopopulin, and the known compounds gaulterin, gallic acid, quercetin, spireoside, and astragalin were isolated from the aerial part of Filipendula ulmaria (L.) Maxim. The chemical structures of the isolated phenolic compounds were studied using UV, 1 H and 13 C NMR spectroscopy; mass spectrometry; and chemical transformations.
