Summary:The objective of this study is to investigate the effects of plant height and number of leaves on Solanum lycopersicum using the SMC (T15) treatment over soil cultivation. The experimental group was alone kept in green house shed with a temperature range of 20 - 28 degree celsius, 68 -80 % RH, and watering as needed and the control group in the ordinary environmental condition. The soil of 100% is defined as the control group, and 15% of the spent mushroom compost (SMC) mixed with 85% of the soil is defined as the experimental group. There are twenty samples in each group, for a total of forty samples. The findings showed that, compared to soil cultivation, the concentration of SMC (T15) enhanced plant height and leaf count. According to the study, the treatment of SMC (T15) resulted in a higher mean value in the height of the plant (15.481) and the number of leaves (17.3500) than soil cultivation. Both groups are statistically significant, according to the results of the independent sample t-tests, with p-values in SMC (T15) higher than those of the soil at plant height (0.019) and the number of leaves (0.010). Hence, the study shows that SMC provides favorable soil conditioners for the cultivation of Solanum lycopersicum , as it improves the growth of Solanum lycopersicum
