Description
Summary:An algorithm for controlling the power supply of a tokamak horizontal field winding is proposed, which excludes the occurrence and development of the most dangerous combinations of possible emergency situations during trials. The key functions of the algorithm are the limitation and control of the maximum current in the horizontal field winding, as well as the voltage on the buffer capacity in the precharging mode. The development of the algorithm is hampered by the fact that at the commissioning phase, there are no accurate data on the control object, namely, on the plasma motion, which determines the level and rate of the compensating effect of the electromagnetic tokamak horizontal field windings, which is necessary to keep the plasma column in the center of the inner chamber. These characteristics, as a rule, are obtained by experiment. Comprehensive tests of the power supply of the electromagnetic horizontal field winding confirm the validity of the chosen solutions.
