Summary:Begonia cangyuanensis, a new species of Begonia sect. Stolonifera Begoniaceae from Yunnan, China, is described and illustrated. Morphologically, it is similar to B. dioica in its tuberous habit with red stolons between tubers. However, it significantly differs in having two bracteoles under the ovary and four tepals of the female flower. A detailed description, photographs, and a comparison with allied species are provided.
