Summary:Due to the increasing demand for better energy devices and the need for more environmentally friendly energy sources, researchers are focusing more on the advancement of energy storage devices. The discovery of graphene is considered as a miracle material that can support electrical current densities six-time higher order than copper, show high thermal conductivity. The unique properties and application of graphene increased the interest of researchers in implementing it within areas of energy sources. Lithium-ion batteries are considered the best portable source of energy for our devices, but graphene’s properties outweigh them. Graphene can chemically proceed from both sides of the electrode (negative and positive electrode) giving all graphene-based batteries a distinctive feature with ultra-high electron density. In this review article, we have put forth the overall study of graphene as the best energy source owing to its properties, and application of graphene that makes it unique from any other energy source.
