Summary:A method is proposed for the complex optimization of suburban transportation based on the development of a flexible composition control schedule. The formulation of the problem of strict optimization for the formation of the schedule of flexible regulation is given, the class of dynamic transport tasks is chosen as a basis. A mathematical model has been developed for constructing a flexible regulation schedule, taking into account modular movement, changes in the composition of trains in the depot, and possible adjustments to the schedule. The efficiency of calculating the schedule of flexible regulation of the composition is proved on the example of conditional and real directions of suburban transportation. Based on the results of calculations, a 28-33% reduction in the required car fleet was achieved. Operating cost savings ranged from 13 to 24%. The need to improve the proposed model based on the development of special software is shown.
