Description
Summary:Jia, H.-M.; Li, X.-M.; Wang, K.; Cheng, X.-P., and Zhang, S.-Y., 2020. Validation and analysis of hydroacoustics parameters for evaluation of scale characteristics of algae field. In: Qiu, Y.; Zhu, H., and Fang, X. (eds.), Current Advancements in Marine and Coastal Research for Technological and Sociological Applications. Journal of Coastal Research, Special Issue No. 107, pp. 53-56. Coconut Creek (Florida), ISSN 0749-0208. In order to improve the accuracy of hydroacoustics investigation and assessment of the scale of the algae field, under the control of laboratory experimental pools, acoustic detection and underwater actual measurement are adopted. The hydroacoustics parameters involved in the characteristic values of algae plant height, water depth and coverage of algae field were verified. The results show that when the carrier travel speed is 1.5m/s, the rising edge threshold and the submerged vegetation detection threshold are -40 dB and -75 dB, respectively, the algae acoustic detection results are the most accurate.
