Pyrolytic Conversion of Biomass into Synthesis Gas with a Desired H2/CO Ratio
The influence of relative mass loss during torrefaction on the composition and volume yield of synthesis gas produced by the two-stage pyrolytic conversion of wood and peat was investigated experimentally. This study showes that synthesis gas with the desired [H 2 ]/[CO] volume ratio in the range fr...

]/[CO] volume ratio in the range from 1 to 2 can be manufactured as a result of preliminary biomass torrefaction. In this case, the parameter that determines the composition of synthesis gas is the relative mass loss during torrefaction, calculated on a dry ash-free basis. |
