Friction Stir Welding of Fillet Joints in Aluminum Alloys

The friction stir welding of AMG6 aluminum alloy plates is studied experimentally, in the case of fillet welds. Various configurations of the workpieces in welding are considered. The optimal configuration here proposed minimizes defects. Optimization of the welding conditions is also discussed.
