The Cyclic-Wave Character of the Distribution of Chemical Elements in the Water of the Source of the Angara River (Runoff of Lake Baikal)

The cyclic-wave character of the change in the chemical composition of the source of the Angara River, i.e., the runoff of Lake Baikal, indicating the presence of the effect of long-term memory in the chemical time series of elements, has been established. The effect is that the current values of th...

Description
Summary:The cyclic-wave character of the change in the chemical composition of the source of the Angara River, i.e., the runoff of Lake Baikal, indicating the presence of the effect of long-term memory in the chemical time series of elements, has been established. The effect is that the current values of the controlled elements in the water of the Angara River source depend on their values in the past but can change sharply during catastrophic environmental changes due to natural and anthropogenic disasters. The data obtained are based on long-term (1950–2020) monitoring of the chemical composition of the Baikal ecosystem.
