Description
Summary:PVA-Mg(OTf)2 polymer films were prepared with wt% ratios using solution cast technique. The obtained films were characterized to measure their ionic conductivity by DC lab made set up. High ionic conductivity (2.75x10−3 S/cm) was established for the conceived ratio (85:15) at 373 K at room temperature. The charge carriers, electronic and ionic contributions were measured from the transport properties of the film. From the transport properties, tion is calculated and it was found to be 0.99 for 15 wt % of magnesium triflate. A magnesium battery was developed by utilizing high ionic conductivity film. The discharge characteristics were also studied.
