Summary:Digital-to-analog converters based on delta-sigma modulators (ΔΣ-modulators) are reviewed. The structure and working principle of digital sigma-delta converters are considered. Specific features of the construction of the main blocks (interpolation filter, digital ΔΣ-modulator, basic DAC, and output filter) are discussed. The results obtained over the last five years are presented. The review can be helpful for specialists in the field of microelectronic components with respect to the development of DACs.
